July Update

Emma is 15 weeks old this week, and a whopping 15 lbs, WOW! She is growing so fast, pretty soon she will be walking. I was worried I would never get the pacifier away, but she can take it or leave it. She does love sucking on her thumb though (uh oh). Right now she is just learning to grab on to her toys and blow spit bubbles. Rolling over should be next, however she does not like being on her tummy, and the Docs say its front to back first. Were working on it, so I will update later. Just a few pics for now, but I have a video of "raspberries" for Aunt Niece I will post later!

The first is Isabella and Emma, the middle is Ali and Emma and I just thought the last one was too cute, although her hair looks really blond there (if y'all didn't know I prayed for dark hair)

My sister loves taking pictures of Emma, and she is actually really good. We got some cute headbands and bloomers as gifts (thank you Molly, Peggy, and Leslie)...when the two came together, this is the outcome! Adorable, but I think it is Emma that makes the pictures so cute.

SWIMMING

Emma went swimming for the first time last Saturday (June 6) at MawMaw and PawPaw's house. She loved it. Her Daddy says she is going to be a swimmer, just like he was!

We LOVED the Janie and Jack swimsuit that Pam got for Emma, but it was a little too small ! She is just a little chunky girl!

Poor Baby Girl

So Todd and I were on our way to Target, I had to buy some Pampers (the story of my life for the next two years I'm sure). Emma was whimpering in the back seat. I assumed she was just tired and thought nothing of it. I was just going to let her "fight going to sleep.". Todd had nudged the mirror I usually use, so I couldn't see her. By the time we got to Target she was fast asleep. When Todd and I opened the back door to get Emma out, we laughed histerically because this is what we found.......

Poor Baby girl. I guess her headband had slipped off on the ride and Mommy just ignored her cry for help. What a bad mother!

Emma was born on April 21, 2009 at 8:30pm. She weighed 8 lbs 1 oz and was 21 inches long! She came out sucking on her fingers.

My First Blog

Our little girl is already six weeks old, man time flies. And no, I have not forgotten the labor experience yet, ask me in six years. Emma weighs about 11 pounds now, my best guess! We weigh ourselves, and then weigh ourselves holding her. She is a chunky butt and much bigger than her 2 girlfriends (Ali and Isabella) but her chubby cheeks will just melt your heart. Her new thing is talking, she coohs and smiles and just wants you to talk to her for hours on end. She loves her Daddy and we are all really enjoying our time together.

Emma got her first pictures taken last week and she did so well! We also had our "come meet Emma" crawfish boil with a great turnout. Poor girl was passed around like a football all day, but I think she likes all the attention.
